On Wednesday 19th July UKFT hosted their Summer Reception, a relaxed networking event for their members, which comprise of businesses from across the British fashion and textile industry. As chosen charity partner for UKFT, FTCT was invited to fundraise on the night.

Luxurious prizes donated by John Smedley, Simon Carter and UKFT were up for grabs in the charity raffle and we are delighted to say that £660 was raised on the night. This would not have been possible without the help of our brilliant volunteers Jess, Rushitha, Prabhnoor and Sophie- pictured below- who gave their time to sell raffle tickets at the event.

The money raised will be immediately put to use, funding grants for children whose parents work in the UK fashion and textile industry and are living without the essentials they need to thrive. £660 will enable our grants to fund the equivalent of three secondary school uniforms OR five primary school uniforms which are so much in demand right now.

Huge thanks to the UKFT team for all their support and for choosing FTCT as their chosen charity partner. We would also like to say a huge thank you to John Smedley and Simon Carter for their generous prize donations.
